2,500 Years of Constellations

Astrology tends to provoke all kinds of reactions. For some, it’s mystical and revealing; for others, a complete nonsense with no scientific ground.
But if we pay attention, simply observing planetary movements is just as scientific as any other branch of astronomy.
This isn’t about belief: planets have orbits, they come close and move away, and that pattern is not up for debate. It’s simply observable.

Interpretation begins when we assign symbolic meaning to those planets. But today, I’m not here to talk about that.

A story written in the sky

What I do want to share is something that fascinates me:
The current astrological configuration is very similar to one that occurred 2,500 years ago, at the time of the founding of Babylon.

Coincidence? Cosmic cycle?
I don’t know. But there is something epic and mysterious in thinking we are living through a moment in history that resonates with such an ancient past.

Life is more than just the everyday

We spend much of life solving the everyday: work, family, obligations, practical decisions.
And it’s easy to think that this is all there is.

But then something shakes us: a conversation, a loss, a synchronicity.
And we remember that life is also mystery. It is invisible connection.
It’s that phone call from someone you were just about to text.
It’s that hunch that turns out to be right.
It’s that emotion that defies explanation—and doesn’t need one.

What do we do with what cannot be measured?

One day, in a session with a client, we spoke about death—and all these topics came up.
Astrology. Fear. The need for meaning.
And though they seem unrelated, they share something in common:
they invite us to step outside the box, to look from a different angle.

Death—this great taboo—is something we all share. And yet, we silence it.
We avoid it, disguise it, deny it.
To face it, feel it, and think about it is also an act of freedom.

Living deeply means looking beyond

Maybe we can’t prove what comes after death.
Maybe we don’t know whether the planets affect our lives.
But we can allow ourselves to be moved by what connects us to something greater.
To mystery. To intuition. To the symbolic. To awareness.

A space to step out of the box

Gestalt therapy is also this: an invitation to step out of autopilot, out of structure,
to explore what has no shape—with a presence that doesn’t judge, but accompanies.

If you sense there’s something beyond the visible,
if you feel life is asking you to look at things differently,
this path may be for you.

Do you want to keep exploring?

If this topic resonates with you, you might be interested in opening up space to talk about it in a session. Each process is unique, and it can be helpful to pause, reflect, and put words to what you’re experiencing.
