Go on, book yourself a date!

Last night, the wind blew like there was no tomorrow.
I don’t like the wind. It stirs me up, scatters me, knocks me off centre.
For years I was very weather-sensitive: grey skies, rain, changes in pressure… everything affected me.

Now I’ve learned something important: even if the weather changes, my mood belongs to me.

How do the cycles of nature affect us?

We recently changed the clocks, and I confess it took me weeks to get my energy back.
It’s not just the time: it’s the body, the rhythm, the arrival of autumn pushing us —without asking— to look within.

The end of the year feels like the end of a life cycle:
an invitation to slow down, take stock, and reconnect with what really matters.

A date with yourself: have you ever considered it?

I don’t mean a quick pause while grocery shopping or cooking dinner.
I mean a special date with yourself.

Yes, like inviting yourself out to dinner.
Like setting aside an hour to listen to someone important.
Because you are.

Personally, I love going to a spa or taking a water circuit.
If it’s quiet, I can talk to myself, take care of myself, breathe.

Some questions for that intimate meeting

What are the three most meaningful memories of this year?

  • What new game have I learned?
  • Who do I feel grateful for?

It’s not about radically changing your life.
Nor saving your business.
It’s about nurturing the most important relationship you’ll ever have: the one with yourself.

Why book a date with yourself?

You might be thinking:
“And what would I even talk about with myself? What a drag!”
“Here she goes again with the weird ideas…”

But yes, it’s you.
And even if some days you’d like to change from head to toe…
you’re the most important person in your life.

And if you’re willing to spend time with people you didn’t even choose…
why not give yourself a chance too?

An invitation to truly listen to yourself

If you feel it’s time to take yourself seriously,
to check in, to reconnect with your energy and direction,
Gestalt therapy can support you in deepening that date with yourself.

I’ll be here.
